3/98 – 9/09 Final Examiner – Security Title Services, LLC – Indianapolis, Indiana
Managed the finals department under direct supervision of the Vice President .This position consisted of my involvement in most aspects of the title industry. The recordings included auditing of those documents that needed to be recorded in the county records., which were the mortgage, the different types of deeds, affidavits, UCC, and Environmental Disclosure form. Corrected and resubmitted county rejected documents that were sent for recording. The procurement of title clearing documentation required direct contact with attorneys; county sheriff offices; paralegals,; office assistant,; county recorders, assessors and auditors,; buyers and seller,; Realtors; mortgage brokers, mortgage loan officers and loan processors; and internal staff. The examination of both legal and non legal documents was necessary to insure that the instructions in the purchase agreement and closing instructions were followed. The responsibility of managing the out sourcing personnel included training, preparing files, tracking their work progress, and correcting and approving the title policies typed by them.. The vice president would assign special projects to me knowing that they will be completed in a timely fashion.. The result of all of my final examiner duties was minimizing possible claims. The by product of my final examiner duties was scanning files into the storage drive and into Security Close. The duties as assigned consisted of answering the phones during the absence of the receptionist; pulling files for the auditors, and preparing underwriters jacket reports. The first position that I held was closing coordinator. The duties performed were scheduling closings, procuring closing documents as outlined in the title work, ordering closing instructions, tracking closing files, delivering the completed pre-closing files to the closers and communicating with all of the involved parties along the process.
